Most cell phones I see around Gwangju are sporting some kind of added flair or accessory. This is a popular way to personalize your phone. All of the phones have a hook-of-sorts in the upper right corner to connect the items. I checked out my cell phone from the US, interestingly enough, no accessory holder available (and it’s even made by Samsung – right here in Korea).
This cell phone has a round decal (from Angel-in-us Coffee) that is a cleaning pad on the opposite side, for wiping smudges off of the screen. The other device is a ‘electronic pen’ (or whatever they are called) to write on the screen.
This cell phone also has a screen cleaning pad (the round circle) and the other attachment is a connector to charge the phone.
The king of attachments. From top to bottom: Phone charger, star made by a student, electronic pen for writing on the screen, a doll given to him as a gift, and a whistle.
It’s all about the statement and a bit of functionality. How do you give your cell phone flair?!
hmmm... mine has a few dents and scrapes from hitting the ground so many times ... but no flair. I guess I need to get with the times! :)
