Welcome to Our Living Room

Mark and I stumbled upon this lovely coffee shop last week. Korea has been (in our opinion) wonderfully westernized by the coffee shop culture. Our apartment is quite small and there is limited furniture (ie- only a bed) so when we want to sit on real furniture we head down to Angel-in-us Coffee (aka- our living room). The americanos are quite good and they even steam milk for you if you ask. Mark has been working out the best way to communicate that he wants an extra shot of espresso and today there was success. The staff is really friendly and enjoys practicing their English as we practice our Korean. If you come visit us, we will be fluent in Korean coffee-speak ... but not much else. We have our priorities straight.

  1. Coffee-speak. Leave it to you two to find a comfortable living room and a way to make yourselves at home with your neighbors. I can picture the conversations....and the smiles. What a great place!!

  2. ANGEL-IN-US. Any special meaning to the South Koreans, or is just their version of ANGELS-R-US in the U.S.? Sounds very Narnian, actually.

  3. I guess the last piece has come together, yes? Love the chairs, are they as comfy as they look?

  4. The angel wings on the lights are great and all but are there any chess players around?
