Fruit

Fruit stands dot many streets.

  • Apples
  • Asian Pears
  • Mandarin oranges
  • Oranges
  • Grapes
  • Watermelons
  • Bananas
  • Tomatoes
  • A small yellow melon – similar to a Must Melon
  • Strawberries

Fruit is not cheap in Korea, but it is still consumed with regularity.  Often it is dessert, rather than cake or cookies.

Fruit is often given as a gift.  Mark mentions how often mothers will bring the school a gift of fruit.
